Our story takes shape in 2003, when Chiaravalli decided to enter the food-processing sector with a clear goal: building a reality capable of offering superior-quality professional blades.
This is how C.C. Lame was founded, a project that grew rapidly thanks to the combination of technical expertise, dynamism and cutting-edge technologies.
It was during this phase that the company made a decisive move: the acquisition of the German brand RASSPE, the world’s first producer of slicer blades, known for the absolute quality of its products for over a century.
From that moment on, tradition and innovation began walking side by side.

The merger with another historic brand, KLINGER, and the later integration into the larger Chiaravalli Group S.p.A. structure gave rise to the Food Division as we know it today.
An international entity serving customers in more than 37 countries, with a production capacity exceeding 25,000 blades per month and a warehouse of over 250,000 pieces ready to be shipped at any time.

A complete production cycle under one roof
Within our division, every blade is born following a step-by-step controlled process.
From steel cutting to CNC turning, from induction hardening to grinding, from polishing to final chroming, everything is carried out internally according to our uncompromising quality standards.
This approach allows us to guarantee a consistently precise and reliable product.

Before leaving the factory, each blade undergoes thorough inspections: hardness, flatness, roughness, chrome thickness, corrosion resistance.
Honouring the RASSPE brand means above all this: ensuring that every single piece is worthy of its history.

Technologies that make the difference


Over time we have developed finishes and solutions designed to improve the cutting experience depending on the product being processed.
The most representative is our Third Generation (3G): a double-level profile that reduces the contact surface with the product, eliminates most friction and allows extremely thin, uniform, perfect slices.
A blade that stays clean longer, does not heat up and reduces waste.
It is the purest expression of our approach to innovation: simple in concept, extraordinary in results.

For bread, meat and semi-frozen fish, we offer serration in different versions, designed to handle tougher materials without losing precision.
When it comes to cheese, especially soft or fatty varieties, the star becomes the non-stick coating.
It is available in both the classic Teflon version and a PFAS-free version, ideal for those seeking more modern and sustainable alternatives.
Both coatings ensure smooth sliding, cleanliness and a fluid cut.

And since every product is different, all these finishes can be combined to create the perfect blade for each specific application.
The only exception is combining 3G with serration, which we advise against for reasons related to the geometry of blade release.

Packaging designed to protect, simplify, last


A professional blade deserves professional packaging.
For this reason, we manufacture sturdy cardboard and wooden boxes with zinc-plated bolt fastening, designed to withstand transport and ensure maximum safety during handling.
Alongside these solutions we offer the 1x1 Skinpack, ideal for single pieces, and a range of boxes in various s, all stackable up to 20 units.
